Astraeus Aerial Dance Theatre was awarded "Outstanding World Premiere" for the second year in a row, as well as "Outstanding Aerial or Circus Performance" at the 2017 San Diego International Fringe Festival for the presentation of Echoes of Gallows Hill.

The Performing Arts Residency Program provides a platform for the development and performance of new work that simultaneously enriches the airport environment and cultivates the regional performing arts community. This opportunity is a process-oriented residency program open to contemporary performing arts in all disciplines—dance, music, theater, as well as cross-disciplinary digital media. 

Astraeus will be in residence through June 2018, performing monthly engaging travelers and airport staff alike in immersive site-specific works.
